We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst 1 to join our team! This position supports the organization’s software quality efforts by executing testing plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure the functionality of software solutions. Focuses on gaining a strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes while contributing to the quality of software projects.

Responsibilities:
- Executes predefined test cases, test suites, and test runs for both manual and automated testing, ensuring thorough coverage.
- Contributes to the development of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Documents and report software defects, collaborating with developers to understand and resolve issues.
- Participates in code reviews to ensure adherence to established coding and architectural standards.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of testing documentation and procedures.
- Participates in team meetings, working with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other testers.
- Analyzes requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing feedback as needed.
- Demonstrates a commitment to learning and understanding established testing processes and methodologies.
- Participates in post-deployment testing as needed.
- Utilizes basic automated testing scripts and code modules provided by more senior team members.
- Understands business applications and system integrations, identifying potential cross-system impacts of changes.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s in Computer science, Engineering, or related field of study.
- 2+ years’ of experience in software development or quality assurance.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Experience with automated testing tools a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with various testing types (e.g., functional testing, integration testing).
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and execute predefined test plans.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in testing and documentation.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new QA tools, technologies, and processes.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic software issues.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work with test management tools (e.g. JIRA, Xray, TestRail).
- Work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience supporting applications developed in .NET and Azure.
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Robot Framework, Selenium).
- Experience with REST API and/or WCF API testing (e.g. Postman, Swagger.io, REST-Assured, SoapUI).
- Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, JavaScript, Bash, Python, Groovy).
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipeline concepts (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Git Lab, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Octopus).
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Robot Framework, Rational Functional Tester, H.P. Quality center).
- Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database structures.
- Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools including JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience testing applications in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery, Jenkins or Git Lab automation experience is a plus.

This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time.
All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
