Pay Range

The full pay range is $128,009.00 – $192,013.00/annually. Depending on experience and qualifications.

We are seeking a Platform Reliability Manager to join our team! This position ensures server platforms, storage, and related systems are secure, available, monitored and patched. Responsible for oversight and maintenance of the Hypervisor platforms, storage platforms, backup systems, patching platforms and availability monitoring. Works with IT Governance team to manage and implement security controls on a rolling basis to manage cybersecurity risk.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Installs appropriate agent on servers and proper configuration agents.
  • Ensures that systems are monitored and logged appropriately.
  • Responsible for Hypervisor and Storage provisioning.
  • Oversight of platform availability, monitoring, and performance.
  • Manages OS patching and hardening of servers, security agents, logging and configuration.
  • Manages maintenance and patching of Virtualization and Hypervisor platforms and enterprise storage.
  • Leads disaster recovery and backups (Rubrik/Commvault).
  • Logs and configures cloud.
  • Logs security events including vulnerability response for server, storage, and OS platforms.
  • Manages ransomware protections and infrastructure support.
  • Manages disaster recovery platforms and testing.
  • Maintains documentation and updates to the configuration management database (CMDB).
  • Works with the leader to prepare budget requests, administers applicable budget items and conducts audits and reconciles all billings for the purchase of associated equipment/software.
  • Leads and coordinates incident response activities during system outages or disruptions.
  • Ensures the team responds promptly to alerts and takes corrective actions.
  • Drives automation initiatives to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual interventions.
  • Implements and maintain tools for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Leads and manage a team of Platform Reliability Engineers (PREs) or Site Reliability Engineers  (SREs).
  • Motivates employees through coaching, goal setting, providing tools and resources. Through this process develops their knowledge and skill with intention to support their professional growth and development.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years related experience supporting and designing platform reliability tech stacks.
  • 2+ years leading a team of Platform Reliability Engineers.
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field field of study.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field field of study.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, the credit union’s core and ancillary systems to perform the job.
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Avaya IOS, and current networking protocols, best practices and standards.
  • Knowledge of IT practices, processing systems including software and hardware.
  • Knowledge of network Performance Tuning, LAN management and Network Design and Implementation.
  • Knowledge of ongoing developments in applicable technology.
  • Knowledge of PC operating systems, software and hardware repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing member services; including member needs assessment, meeting service standards and evaluation of member satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of providers and vendors of hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols, Class of Service.
  • Knowledge of software licensing and requirements for licensing compliance.
  • Knowledge of the general direction of the information systems industry and technology.
  • Collect and analyze complex or technical data.
  • Configure, upgrade, deploy, and support windows based computers and software.
  • Understand the technical foundation for general data processing and Networks.

This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time.

All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
