Job Description:
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Assist in development of policies, including ensuring they comply with regulatory requirements, and assist with updates as needed.
- Assist with discovery requests and documentation review.
- Coordinate with outside counsel and track legal invoices.
- Support front-line and operations.
- Assist with legal and regulatory research and general reports for internal use.
- Assist with other legal and regulatory projects.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory framework of credit union.
- Review POAs, trust documents, and documents for signing authority.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Detail oriented with strong work ethic.
- Ability to identify pertinent information and create documents that present relevant information clearly and succinctly.
- Ability to work with MS Office Suite, Lexis, and Westlaw products
- Ability to collaborate and develop effective relationships across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Paralegal Certificate required
- 3-5 years Paralegal (or comparable) experience at a financial services company or law firm with financial services practice.
