Summary

We’re growing here at Kitsap Credit Union and are looking for Member Specialists to work out of our various locations in beautiful Washington State. As a Member Specialist, you will help to create customer-centered solutions and recommend opportunities for our members. Employment Type: fulltime, hourly, non-exempt, onsite

Salary Range: $22.04 – $30.00/hr depending on experience and qualifications

Working hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 9am-1pm; 8.5hr shifts, 40hr work week

Grade: 6

Member Specialist Typical Job Duties

  • Assist the teller line with tellering functions
  • Guide members applying for loans, and lines of credit
  • Recommend and council members on KCU resources that align with their needs
  • Process loan applications for consumer lending products, Home Equity, and Mortgage loans
  • Strengthen market position by locating, developing, and closing business relationships
  • Enhance member experience and loyalty through relationship building

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of Customer Service/Sales/Cash Handling
  • One year of experience in a financial institution performing teller, new accounts and account maintenance
  • One year of consumer lending experience
  • Ability to obtain NMLS within 30 days

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Availability during Saturdays and extended business hours
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including effective listening, speaking and writing
  • An understanding of credit fundamentals and underwriting criteria
  • Ability to present, explain and refer products and services
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
