Job Description:
The right person for this unique position will need to be detail oriented, organized, and efficient. They will need to be proactive and take ownership of this position, looking for efficiencies and opportunities for change as they learn the job and grow in the position. Experience in Member Service is preferred and experience as a consumer lending processor is helpful. This position will work out of our Admin location in Clackamas Oregon, and will float between our Hillsboro and Rockwood location when there is a need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Work with the Frontline team to handle and answer incoming back-end communications.
- Assist members via phone.
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain security interest filings/lien documents for loans, producing monthly over-due title report for audit.
- Ensure that loan files complete and accurate, auditing, filing, and scanning of new documents.
- Process paid loan reports, including the releasing of collateral and closing of lending files.
- Process loan payment coupons, check orders, pay off requests, new credit card orders and monitors Pay and Save loans for rate reductions.
- Process member deposits and payments received via mail.
- General account maintenance including change of address, account closures, movement of accounts due to fraud, due date changes and skip payments.
- Fund loans and complete all details to ensure loans are set up correctly on our core system. Monitor new loans to ensure the first payment is received correctly.
- Retrieve mail, utilize the postage machine to stamp outgoing mail and deliver to the outgoing box each day.
- Monitor and maintain insurance and property tax tracking on collateral, contacting members as necessary to ensure coverage and payment.
- Performing all duties of a Member Relationship Specialist when assigned to a branch:
- Provide outstanding member service and contribute to the overall team effort.
- Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union, or any other credit union sponsored event in a professional manner. Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of their request.
- Perform routine member in-branch transactions. These include, but are not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and general account maintenance.
- Maintain and regularly balance cash and other negotiable instruments, as assigned.
- Establish, maintain, and increase knowledge of credit union products and services that are promoted or handled by Member Relationship Specialists.
- Perform routine support functions and duties while in the branch.
- Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information.
- Ensure all actions are compliant with credit union policies and procedures.
- Other duties that may be assigned to help credit union fulfill its Mission.
