We are currently looking for a full-time non-exempt Member Service Representative I to join our team!  In this role, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional service experience for SELCO Community Credit Union’s members, team members, and guests.

This position will work onsite at the Salem Branch in Salem, Oregon.  The Member Service Representative I is only eligible for in office/branch work arrangements. The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 6:30pm. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.

COMPENSATION

Base Salary: The full salary range for the Member Service Representative I position is $18.65 to $24.95 per hour, with new hires generally starting between $20.75 to $22.85 per hour based on relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience. This range will be converted to semi-monthly ranges for full-time employees.

Incentives: This position is eligible for monthly incentives ranging from $5.00 to $75.00, depending on the product or service. This position is also eligible for a fraud incentive of $25.00 per qualifying incident.

Annual Incentive: In addition, all SELCO team members receive an annual incentive based on how well SELCO meets the prior year’s strategic business goals. This incentive is calculated using the team member’s prior year eligible earnings and ranges from 0%-12% (with the average payout over the last five years being 11.07%).

POSITION DETAILS

Essential Functions include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • Provide member service and perform duties with a high level of accuracy, efficiency and in alignment with service expectations, instructions, policies and procedures including:
    • Build and develop member relationships by asking open-ended questions and identifying member needs.
    • Routine teller services i.e., counting and documenting cash, posting transactions, etc.
    • Complex teller services i.e., GL entries, vault balancing, etc.
    • Basic member service i.e., processing ACH, card, wire, and account change requests.
  • Assist team members and other departments, as needed.
  • Demonstrate initiative to help protect the member and SELCO from losses by detecting errors and taking action to prevent fraud.

  • Basic math and cash handling skills.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • At least six (6) months of cash handling and customer service or sales experience; and
  • Must be bondable.
