All of our staff – from the frontline team to the CEO – are paid to become Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors (CCUFCs), which is a credentialed program specifically designed to prepare you to coach members and help them develop financial management skills. You’re the ideal candidate if you are outgoing, excited by helping people reach their financial goals, and have an aptitude for service ! Prior financial services experience (bonus if you are familiar with Symitar!) and bilingual preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Routine consumer financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, etc.
• Handle all loan and deposit account processing based on credit union policies & procedures within approval authority
• Maintain work, records, and workspace in an organized manner to ensure timely, accurate service to members, by yourself or others
• Recommend ancillary products & services when processing loan, deposit account or new member transactions
• Provide all mortgage & consumer loan options as requested, or recommend them when a need is perceived
• Respond to member requests, problems, or complaints with solutions – or direct them to appropriate personnel for resolution
• Assist the Member Solutions team with basic collection tasks
• Assist the Leadership team by communicating office needs and maintenance issues
• Responsible for managing assigned activities by expected deadlines, and communicating to supervisor if unable to do so
• Represent the credit union to existing and potential members in a positive, open and receptive manner
• Complete required annual regulatory training
• Complete specialized training as assigned, including achieving financial counseling certification
• Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
• Must be bondable

Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday with occasional overtime opportunities for community events
Work Location: In person at our Milwaukie branch
Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour

Experience Needed:
Cash handling: 2 years (Required)
Customer service: 2 years (Required)
Banking/Financial: 2 years (Preferred)
Bilingual: English and 1+ more languages (Preferred)
