Job Description:

As the Knowledge Management Team Leader, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a team that impacts staff and members in direct and meaningful ways, each and every day!

In this role, you will lead a team to design, build, and maintain a knowledge management infrastructure to include policy, process and software systems for the organization. You will also oversee efforts to capture, organize, write, test, and publish knowledge resources in partnership with lines of business end users. Your continuous improvement approach will ensure ease of the user experience.

Your day might include:

  • Leading the team to work with line of business content owners to analyze, inventory, and codify critical knowledge assets into a format that can easily be integrated and maintained into multiple knowledge repositories.
  • Assisting in planning and executing activities which ensure the alignment and integration of knowledge sharing platforms and resources to improve organizational effectiveness in support of business priorities (i.e. procedure management platform, internal SharePoint sites)
  • Supporting the day-to-day function of the procedure management platform, including troubleshooting user issues, system maintenance, and updates
  • Assisting the Knowledge Management Manager in planning and executing procedure related special projects in support of organizational priorities, including regulatory changes, new systems, new products, and other organizational change initiatives
  • Partnering with IT and other key stakeholders for information architecture, user experience, taxonomy and navigation
  • Ensuring course content and documented procedures are kept updated
  • Coaching and developing a team of smart and creative individuals
  • Holding the team accountable to producing quality work within established deadlines
  • Staying up to date on changes to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements impacting operations
  • Assuring quality service through responsive and positive interactions. Assisting in resolving problems by exercising good judgment and offering sound solutions
  • Assisting in gathering data to respond to audit requests
  • Listening carefully to assess needs and effectively communicate available options to satisfy needs
  • Enthusiastically working in a diverse environment

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two years’ experience writing and editing procedures, documenting process workflows, and creating visual assets OR
  • Associate’s degree plus four years’ experience writing and editing procedures, documenting process workflows, and creating visual assets
  • Two or more years of direct supervision
  • Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint at the Site Owner level
  • Experience in managing content management workflows
  • Practical experience analyzing and preparing data/reports that produce insights to drive content curation for that follow current and emerging best practices
  • Experience in working with subject matter experts, conducting interviews and gathering relevant information and data
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to harmonize complex thoughts, communicate and concisely

Bonus points if you have:

  • Financial Institution experience
  • Experience optimizing SharePoint search
  • Experience administering procedure software platforms (ie. Zavanta, etc.)
  • Experience with information architecture, document management software and tools

Competitive pay: $ 30.82 – $46.23 per hour, plus an excellent benefits package!

Where we’re located: Corporate Office 330 Union Ave SE Olympia, WA.  Position works in a hybrid work environment – combination of working from home & in office (Olympia or Seattle).

When you’d work: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with scheduling flexibility depending on business needs, non-exempt position
