Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage incoming loan volume from indirect delivery channels to ensure member needs are met.
  • Sell additional Credit Union products and services to consistently meet or exceed established individual and team goals.
  • Assess current and new members’ financial needs by using effective relationship building and consultative sales techniques. Make appropriate recommendations for loan, deposit, and insurance products and services.
  • Open new consumer accounts, checking, and loans.  Focus on retaining current memberships, loans and deposit business, and developing new consumer relationships.
  • Use credit underwriting skills and established Credit Union guidelines and matrixes to evaluate loan applications to determine appropriate credit decisions within established authority.
  • Makes lending decisions within lending limits, and recommendations for outside lender authority.
  • Ability to work rotating Saturdays.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to uncover additional needs by asking open ended questions to fit OnPoint products and services to member’s needs.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Effectively work as part of a team with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed and function under limited direct supervision.
  • Communicate effectively via phone, in person and in writing.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of strong experience in finance and consumer lending involving loan products, making loan decisions and communicating the decisions to members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume outbound calling environment preferred.
