Corporate Benefits Officer I, II
Job Description:
Reports to: Corporate Benefits Manager
Functions Supervised: None
Primary Functions: Develop, implement, and administer educational programs for all credit union and subsidiary benefit programs. Assist with benefit legal and regulatory compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Employee Benefit Program education. Develop, coordinate, and perform employee benefit education to include Benefit Orientation classes.
- Monitor, review and assist with the compliance of legal and regulatory requirements related to employee benefits.
- Coordinate benefit related expense reporting with Accounting. Review general ledger activity as needed.
- Maintain and coordinate updates to benefits information in the Employee Handbook and HR Policy.
- Maintain in depth knowledge of the HRMS System.
- Serve as a lead to the Benefits Specialists; provide guidance and assistance as necessary.
- Serve as back up and support the functions of Corporate Benefits Manager.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of personnel information and records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors degree preferred in accounting, finance, human resources, business administration or other related field.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable.
Experience/Skills: Must have strong interpersonal, human relations and verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must also demonstrate effective organizational, analytical, time management and independent decision-making abilities. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
Tenure: Assignment to the Corporate Benefits Officer I, category 11, or Corporate Benefits Officer II, category 10, will be determined by the candidate’s education or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate’s certifications and/or performance.
