Location: DuPont, WA

Range: $113,000 – $140,000.

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
  • Five or more years of related experience within a financial institution or related industry
  • Extensive experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency with financial modeling software and accounting systems
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing accounting teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders

What You’ll do: 

  • Prepare and review financial statements, manage the general ledger and accounts payable to efficiently meet finance needs
  • Support senior management in setting and achieving short- and long-term financial goals
  • Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information in order to determine credit union performance in the areas of profitability, performance against budget and other statistics indicating the financial soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization 
  • Provide leadership to accounting personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication
  • Perform ALM risk analysis, projections, and reporting using ALM modeling software
  • Conduct financial analyses on cash flow, investment strategies, and banking relationships; propose and implement improvements
  • Oversee the development and implementation of financial control systems, including budgeting, cost allocation, and general ledger management
  • Supervise the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and fixed asset systems
  • Oversee bank balances, lines of credit, and banking relationships, recommend investment vehicles and coordinate cash needs with investments 
  • Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with evolving regulations and industry trends
  • Prepare detailed reports and analyses of departmental and area operations as requested by Management; conducts cost analysis, ratio and trend analysis, and other comparative examinations as appropriate
  • Coordinate accounting functions with other departments; interfaces with the IT Department in the development and implementation of efficient systems consistent with new software applications
  • Act as a liaison between the Credit Union and external auditors and regulatory authorities
  • Provide leadership and direction to accounting staff, including setting objectives and facilitating professional development
  • Ensure all employees are well informed of accounting policies, procedures, and regulations; facilitates consistency at all levels of accounting operations 
  • Attend and participate in meetings and committees as appropriate 
  • Maintain the system of accounts and keeps records on all credit union financial transactions and records retention 
  • Prepare and assist with policymaking as it pertains to the Accounting department
