A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONTACT CENTER SPECIALIST

As a Contact Center Specialist, you’ll respond to our member’s questions and solve their problems via phone, chat, and e-mail. From basic inquiries and simple transactions to resolving complex issues, you’ll get to do it all. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting members with various requests and transactions (i.e. loan payments, withdrawals, account transfers, fraud incidents, account inquires, account maintenance, online banking inquiries); providing solutions and resolving problems
  • Providing helpful information about our products, services and promotions that will help our members achieve their financial goals
  • Processing member requests ensuring accuracy and complete satisfaction with every interaction
  • As needed help in branch members with financial transactions to support the cash team with coverage for lunches, breaks, and time off

CONTACT CENTER SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least six months of related experience in cash handling, or completing customer/member financial transactions, required
  • Strong communication skills; courtesy, tact, and diplomacy
  • The ability to de-escalate upset members/customers
  • Strong computer skills; the ability to learn new software programs, and to type quickly and accurately

CONTACT CENTER SPECIALIST WORK SCHEDULE

This position has the opportunity to be based out of our NE Portland branch. This position is expected to work 40 hours per week, generally M-F between 8:30 – 5:00pm
