Job Description:

We are seeking an individual who is detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and a great communicator.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to

1. Follows regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Identity Theft Red Flags and other compliance related Policies.

2. Process loan applications and obtain reports and information from credit reporting agencies. Examines, evaluates, and decisions or recommends a decision of member loan requests accurately and in accordance with established lending policies and limits.

3. Maintain operations by staying informed of and following policies and procedures; demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of home equity, consumer, and real estate loan policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Reports changes as needed.

4. Performs loan related duties as assigned including filing, title work, title releases, payment corrections, income tax analysis, loan payoff calculations, collateral valuations, new loan processing, and loan modifications.

5. Provides superior member service. Corresponds, and coordinates with fellow staff, third parties, and vendors to facilitate timely loan underwriting, processing, and funding.

6. Partners with and supports loan officers and processors; acts as a general resource for staff on all Lending Center functions.

7. Identifies cross sell opportunities and offers appropriate products and services to members while reviewing credit reports.

8. Administer the dealer reserve program as assigned. Prepare dealer reserve statements and reports, disburse dealer reserve payments, and collect and follow up on reserve chargebacks.

9. Provide dealer marketing support as needed.

10. Enhance job performance by applying up-to-date professional and technical knowledge gained by attending training sessions, reviewing professional publications, and maintaining professional relationships.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Follow up on missing titles or other documentation as needed; assist with loan processing as needed.

2. Contribute to attaining Credit Union objectives by performing other job related duties as assigned.

1. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.

2. Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; intermediate computer skills, including the use of word processing and spreadsheet software applications and e-mail.

3. Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.

4. Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in work environment.

5. Ability to cross-sell Credit Union services effectively and accurately.

11. Knowledge of Credit Union system, Maps, and financial industry.

12. Ability to work without direct supervision.

Pay Range: $17.54 – $28.56

Requirements

1. Associates degree in Business, Economics, Banking or equivalent financial experience and Business-related (i.e., accounting, economics, finance, management) college-level courses or financial industry-specific training.

2. Minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrated progressive responsibilities in financial institution; lending experience preferred.

3. Minimum of two years of experience in customer service.

4. Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license.

5. Requires the availability to work Monday – Saturday hours.

6. Must be bondable.

7. Must meet the minimum standards set by SAFE and any applicable state laws. These minimum standards include but are not limited to: (1) never having the employee’s loan originator license revoked in any governmental jurisdiction, and (2) not having been convicted of nor pled guilty or nolo contendere to a felony in a domestic, foreign, or military court (a) during the seven-year period preceding the date of application for licensing and registration, or (b) at any time preceding such date of application if such felony involved an act of fraud, act of dishonesty, a breach of trust, or money laundering.

8. Must be eligible to renew and must maintain registration with the Registry or the applicable state agency. Failure to renew or maintain registration will result in immediate termination.
