We are looking for an experienced and innovative Chief Financial & Risk Officer to join our executive team. In this key role, the Chief Financial & Risk Officer will be instrumental in guiding the financial strategy and direction of InRoads Credit Union. We seek a strong leader with comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, especially those pertinent to credit unions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in collaborating with regulatory bodies and ensuring the credit union’s adherence to all legal and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate for InRoads Credit Union should possess exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial and risk-related concepts to the board, senior management, and other stakeholders. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, including lending, operations, and IT, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to risk management. Proficient in financial management and risk assessment software and tools, with a solid understanding of the role technology plays in risk management and financial analysis. The role involves overseeing the credit union’s risk management functions, encompassing the identification, measurement, and mitigation of risks, as well as developing and implementing risk management frameworks and policies that align with the credit union’s strategic objectives.
The Chief Financial & Risk Officer should lead Accounting, Finance, and Risk Management teams, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Ensure that the team possesses the necessary skills and resources to effectively manage the Credit Union’s financial risks. Provide regular reports on the credit union’s financial health and risk exposure to the board and senior management. Communicate risk management strategies and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred, as is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
