Card Services Manager
Job Description:
Sound Credit Union, one of Washington’s largest credit unions, is seeking an experienced leader and strategic thinker to manage and optimize efficiencies for the Card Services department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and understands card services rules and regulations. You have leadership experience and a desire to empower and develop your team while maintaining excellent member service.
The Card Services Manager is responsible for the credit union’s Visa debit/credit card program, rewards, payments, ATM, member service systems and procedures, equipment, and maintenance. You will develop and implement Visa credit/debit card operations, maintain policies and procedures to meet federal, state and regulatory guidelines, and to ensure that programs align with the strategic and business plans and values of Sound Credit Union.
You will report directly to the Vice President of Payments and Operations and directly supervise employees in the Card Services department. You will provide excellent leadership to your team and serve as a role model by displaying great attention to detail and demonstrating your commitment to the credit union’s value statements. You will also provide support, input, feedback, and guidance concerning daily operations for your department.
You serve as subject matter expert for all product and service programs and systems used in the Card Services department and collaborate with Risk Management, Digital Enterprise, and Operations to mitigate and manage card fraud and security risks. You provide oversight for the compliance and records retention for all Card Services products and service programs. In addition, you will manage the Credit Union’s ATM usage and performance to ensure that service level agreements are met. Additionally, you will serve as the liaison for all third-party relationships pertaining to the products and services in Card Services and other essential duties as assigned.
This position requires a minimum of five years of related management or supervisory experience in a financial institution. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in business Administration, Finance, or related field is highly preferred. The Card Services Manager must be bondable.
