Solarity Credit Union is seeking a fulltime Auditor at our North 5th branch in Yakima!

The top candidate will…

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Have a minimum of two years of auditing and financial institution experience.
  • Ability to:
    • Evaluate various operational areas and develop meaningful recommendations focused on organizational risk.
    • Analyze and interpret data in completion of audit objectives.
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest degree of professional standards.
    • Work independently to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once in accordance with expectations and due dates.
    • Communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward professional manner.
    • Develop and maintain rapport and effective communication with all levels of staff and management.

A Day in the life of an Auditor:

Each day will be a different adventure in this role. A snapshot of the day could look like:

  • Meet with stakeholders to collaborate on audit findings and resolutions.
  • Visit a branch to review effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Consult with the Compliance Officer on applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Interview staff to gain an understanding of their processes and pain points.
  • Work with external vendors to develop audit scopes and coordinate audit fieldwork.
  • Develop a meaningful audit report to convey significant risks to management.
  • Attend a webinar on auditing fundamentals or industry updates.
