Accounting/Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

This individual will start by mainly functioning as a Member Service Representative and posting daily to the general ledger, with the understanding that more responsibilities will be expected.   Once ready to move forward, underwriting loans, financial reporting, plastic card programs, and more will allow a person to expand upon their Credit Union knowledge.    The Accounting Specialist performs routine accounting processes.  This person works closely with the CEO to ensure the overall accuracy and integrity of the financial records of the credit union.  All accounting functions are performed within established guidelines (GAAP) and in compliance with regulations.

Preferred Skills: BSA compliance, financial reporting, plastic card programs, lending

Required Skills: Excel & accounting

Education: Associates degree or equivalent Credit Union experience/education/diploma
