Job Description:

Our six-state trade association is looking for an Accounting & Administrative Specialist to help provide the support to make our employees’ lives easier.  We are looking for a dynamic self-driven individual to manage daily accounting, AR/AP, and support for our human resources and facility functions.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Process and maintain integrity of A/R records
  • Create and distribute customer invoices in Salesforce (e.g., Paperless Titles)
  • Prepare deposits and record cash receipts
  • Maintain integrity of A/P vendor records
  • Perform A/P functions that includes review and coding of vendor invoices, creation of scheduled check-runs and manual checks
  • Maintain and monitor security of check stock and records
  • On monthly basis, monitor timely submissions of staff reports by deadline
  • Review staff member’s expense report entries to ensure proper account coding
  • Prepares standard monthly journal entries for Great Plains (GP) processing.
  • Analyze/reconcile assigned G/L account balances on monthly basis.
  • Reconcile and close the Association event budgets in coordination with Project Managers monthly and make corresponding entries in GP.
  • Assist with the with human resources function & operations.
  • Assist with the recruiting and tracking of job applicants.
  • Primary contact for employee reported building maintenance as needed through the building maintenance portals.

Our perfect candidate has solid problem-solving skills and can manage multiple complex tasks while producing consistently accurate results. Also, the selected candidate would have 2 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience with a strong working knowledge of Excel.

Finally, our ideal candidate is a continuous learner with a can-do attitude.

Salary ranges from $55-$65k base salary, depending on experience. This position is eligible for a variable pay program which has a potential 5% of base salary earnings.  Employees (and dependents 50%) are covered by medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability.  Employees are eligible to enroll in our 401k plan.  New employees will accrue 15 days of vacation and 8 days of paid time off. In addition, employees will enjoy eleven paid holidays and two floating holidays.
