InRoads Celebrates 10 Years of Supporting Local Schools, Striving to Reach $1 Million

Now in its 10th year, InRoads Credit Union’s Team Up for Schools program has helped raise a total of $776,239.30 for local high schools and is poised to collect well over $100,000 for Columbia County high schools this year — inching ever closer to the $1-million mark.

The program, which is among the biggest fundraisers for schools in the Oregon region InRoads serves, empowers members to help raise funds for Columbia County high schools using special Team Up for Schools debit cards. During the 2025/2026 school year, the program helped raise $60,221.30 for St. Helens High School, $43,703.10 for Scappoose High School, and $15,940.85 for Rainier High School.

“This has quickly become one of the biggest fundraisers for local high schools in the region,” stated Nathan Cox, InRoads Credit Union President and CEO. “Our members are amazing. They’ve helped turn everyday spending into meaningful support for the next generation.”

To participate in the Team Up for Schools program and help the credit union reach $1 million, InRoads is encouraging its members to choose one of three Team Up for Schools debit cards featuring a high school and mascot on the front.

“Every time a member uses their card, InRoads sets aside five cents of every qualified debit card interchange fee,” added Hannah Baldwin, InRoads Credit Union Director of Marketing. “The credit union then gives that money, as a lump-sum contribution at the end of the school year, to the school featured on the card. It’s one of the best moments of the school year for us.”
