InRoads Urges Members to “Stand Ready” During National Preparedness Month

In support of the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Ready Campaign during National Preparedness Month, InRoads Credit Union has shared tips to help “Americans Stand Ready” with proactive steps local households can take before a disaster strikes.

Every September, FEMA’s Ready Campaign promotes National Preparedness Month to encourage Americans to prepare for emergencies. This year’s theme of Americans Stand Ready is designed to reflect the spirit of unity, resilience, and resourcefulness, all of which are attributes of credit unions and their members.

“InRoads is sharing practical ways members can prepare for those moments when life doesn’t go according to plan,” said Hannah Baldwin, InRoads Credit Union Director of Marketing. “The government urges people to store food and more. As a credit union, we want members to build an emergency fund, protect important financial documents, watch out for scams following a disaster, and have alternative ways to access their money.”

InRoads has made an informative article, packed with advice people can use to protect themselves and their finances during an emergency or disaster, available on the credit union website.
