NW Priority Credit Union Names Christine Torland as Chief Executive Officer

NW Priority Credit Union has named Christine Torland as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1, 2026, having served as interim CEO since December 2025, following the departure of former CEO Julie Guerin.

A familiar face to employees, members, and community partners, Torland brings more than 30 years of experience with the credit union to the role. She joined NW Priority Credit Union in October 1995, beginning her career in the back office before moving into the Accounting Department. Over the years, she took on positions of increasing responsibility, building a deep understanding of the organization and its members.

In September 2020, Torland was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, where she played a key role in guiding the credit union’s financial strategy and operations. Her leadership, institutional knowledge, and commitment to service helped prepare her for the transition to CEO.

Throughout her career, Torland has been recognized for her dedication to members and her commitment to the credit union philosophy of People Helping People. Colleagues and members alike know her for taking the time to listen, understand individual needs, and provide thoughtful support. Her member-first approach reflects the values that have long guided NW Priority Credit Union.

As CEO, Torland will lead the organization into its next chapter, building on the credit union’s strong foundation while continuing its focus on serving members and supporting employees. Her experience, integrity, and longstanding commitment to the credit union position her well to guide NW Priority Credit Union’s continued growth and success.
