Exclusive Summit for Small Credit Union Leaders on April 28 in Seattle
Posted by Alyse Knudsen on April 8, 2026
GoWest is expanding its commitment to smaller institutions with a new membership benefit under the Small Credit Union Accelerator: an in-person Small Credit Union Summit created exclusively for small credit union leaders.
The inaugural summit will take place Tuesday, April 28, at Cedarbrook Lodge in Seattle, Wash. This complimentary event will bring together leaders from eligible GoWest member credit unions for a full day focused on connection, collaboration, and candid conversation.
“Small credit union leaders consistently tell us they value meaningful conversations with peers who understand their day‑to‑day reality,” shared Carmen Vigil. GoWest’s SVP of Credit Union Engagement & Development. “Guided by our Small Credit Union Advisory Council, this Summit is intentionally designed to create space for leaders to learn from one another, talk honestly about challenges, and leave with ideas they can actually put into practice.”
Designed for Meaningful Peer Engagement

Timed to Maximize Your Travel

To make participation as convenient as possible, the summit has been intentionally scheduled the day before the Washington Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) meeting in Seattle. Leaders who are already planning to attend those meetings can extend their stay and take advantage of this new opportunity to connect with fellow small credit union peers.
Limited Space, Focused Experience
There is no cost to attend, but space will be limited to ensure meaningful conversation and active engagement among participants. Please note that there will be no virtual option for this in-person event.
Leaders are encouraged to continue engaging with the Small Credit Union Accelerator’s virtual sessions throughout the year, which provide additional opportunities to connect, learn, and share insights, and mark your calendar for the next in-person Small Credit Union Summit on Nov. 8 in Nampa, Idaho.
