Posted by Bobbie Frank on March 2, 2026
Top-priority legislation for Wyoming’s credit unions has officially cleared the Legislature and is now headed to the Governor for his signature. House Bill 75 – Virtual Currency Kiosks passed third reading in the Senate Monday with a 30-1 vote before returning to the House for concurrence.
In the Senate, the bill was amended to make it effective immediately upon the Governor’s signature rather than July 1, 2026. Following discussion regarding enforcement implications for unlicensed crypto kiosk operators, the amended bill advanced with overwhelming support.
Also Monday, the House voted to concur with the Senate’s changes, officially passing HB 75 in its final form. With concurrence secured, the bill now heads to the Governor’s desk for signature.
