Fibre Federal & TLC Invests in Education and Healthcare Through Communities First Program
Posted by Alyse Knudsen on January 8, 2026
In 2025, Fibre Federal Credit Union and TLC continued its Communities First Program, a multi-year sponsorship for community colleges and hospitals within the 11 Washington and Oregon counties it serves. The credit union places a high priority on supporting educational and healthcare related services throughout its communities, and that mission developed into the Communities First Program in 2018.
To date, the credit union has donated $284,500 to program partners, including 13 hospital foundations and seven community college foundations. In 2025 alone, Fibre Federal and TLC donated $46,500 to these partners, helping fund initiatives that make a meaningful impact across the credit union’s service areas. Donation funds supported supplemental meal programs, student scholarships, child literacy programs, and a variety of other community-centered initiatives.
