WATCH: Advocating for Credit Unions in DC This Week

Ryan Fitzgerald, SVP, Advocacy, has been on the ground in Washington, D.C. this week, with a very focused agenda advocating for GoWest credit unions. Advocacy is a 24/7 job and the education never stops. Priorities this week include:

  • Advocating about the importance of having a stable and supported CDFI fund
  • Modernization of the Federal Credit Union Act as we work to push the board modernization bill across the finish line
  • Ongoing discussions regarding fraud and fraud prevention
  • And good meetings with members and their staff – including meetings with new staff members in several offices.
