PAC the House at MAXX 2025: Ubuntu in Action

PAC the House at MAXX 2025 delivered a powerful reminder of what happens when a community shows up with purpose. Together, we raised $23,134, driving momentum for the work that sustains and elevates the credit union movement year-round.

Ubuntu shaped the spirit of the evening.

What does that mean? Ubuntu is an African word that encapsulates a worldview: I am because we are. Similar interpretations translate it to illustrate generosity, thoughtfulness, and kindness to others within the community.

It reflects the belief that our strength grows from one another, and that progress only happens when we move together.

Without you, there is no us. Without you, there is no movement.

 

This year’s gathering brought together 62 credit unions, 111 RSVPs, and 173 individual supporters. Contributions came in from all six GoWest states, with Washington leading at $8,089, followed by Oregon, Colorado, Idaho, Arizona, and Wyoming.

 

 

We were honored to welcome Tobias Read, Oregon State Treasurer, who joined donors for a thoughtful discussion on financial stewardship and the importance of resilient, community-centered leadership.
