Job Description:
Essential Duties/Functions of the Position:
- This position requires the employee to meet all cognitive, verbal, physical, education, certification, licensing, registration, legal, and equipment requirements of the job.
- This position requires that the employee regularly and reliably report to work and training as scheduled, stay awake and alert during work and training, and follow company policies and procedures for arranging time away from work.
- This position requires the employee to have the ability to work varying days and hours as scheduled – including extended hours whenever required or requested by their supervisor.
- This position requires the employee to have and maintain a valid Wyoming driver’s license, insurable driving record, and ability to drive for company business.
- This position requires that the employee follow all policies, procedures, and practices at all times, and as written, unless official accommodation or dispensation is given by the Chief Executive Officer.

- This position requires the employee to conduct interviews with both current credit union members and potential credit union members.
- This position requires the employee to field incoming loan requests via telephone, online, and in-person.
- This position requires the employee to gather required verification documents, perfect files for closing, and facilitate document signing and loan closing.
- This position requires the employee to open new account products and discuss financial services, such as: savings and checking accounts, Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Auto Loans, Mortgages, and Protection Solutions such as GAP, MBP, and Debt Protection.
- This position requires the employee to conduct outbound calls – working lead-generation lists, reaching out to current (and potential) members to offer credit union products and services, and marketing to prospects.
- This position requires the employee to build rapport by being a financial expert and counselor.
- This position requires the employee to use active listening skills to obtain information in order to identify, advocate, and promote cross-sale opportunities.
- This position requires the employee to be a liaison and point-of-contact for members engaged in the mortgage process with the Credit Union’s Mortgage Service Partners.
- This position requires the employee to establish, develop, and maintain strong member relationships by providing a consistent quality level-of-service which is timely, thorough, and responsive to all members, and which exceeds expectations through effectively managing workload, time, and the loan process.
- This position requires the employee to support the credit union’s Mission, Vision, Values, Goals, and Objectives.
- This position requires the employee to educate, encourage, and sell members on the use of alternative delivery channels, including: ATM’s, kiosks, Online Banking, Bill Payment, RDC, shared branching, and automated telephone services.
- This position requires the employee to meet or exceed daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance standards as outlined in approved organizational goals, objectives, and expectations.
- This position requires the employee to receive, evaluate, and underwrite member loan requests through Loancierge by using good judgement and discretion to satisfy member needs.
- This position requires the employee to escalate any loan requests that are outside of typical and established approval limits to management for further review and decisioning.
- This position requires the employee to communicate loan decisions to credit union members in a clear, concise, and courteous manner – including the ability to discuss loan denials, loan alternatives, and calculations.
- This position requires the employee to establish a CUR network, and then maintain and enhance dealer relationships by building rapport.
- This position requires the employee to monitor dealer productivity, call dealers for approvals, and follow-up on pending contracts.
- This position requires the employee to recommend and cross-qualify additional loan products and services to credit union members during the underwriting process.
- This position requires the employee to verify loan products and services applications for completeness.
- This position requires the employee to conduct credit investigations.
- This position requires the employee to obtain and evaluate credit bureau reports, income verification, collateral valuation reports, flood certifications, title information, and any other documentation relevant to the underwriting of consumer and real estate loans.
- This position requires the employee to recommend revisions to policies and procedures, as necessary.
- This position requires the employee to evaluate auto-approval/denial through both the direct and indirect lending systems on at least an annual basis, and make recommendations for changes or improvements.
- This position requires the employee to have in-depth dialogues, conversations, and explanations with customers.
- This position requires the employee to perform additionally assigned duties in a manner which are generally expected and consistent with other similar positions.
