Washington-based Express Credit Union announced the selection of Helen Gibson, as the credit union’s next CEO. Gibson will succeed Paul Baudin, who will be retiring in the coming months. She will assume the CEO role on September 1.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we’re excited to welcome Helen as the new CEO,” said Sarah Slonsky, Chair of Express’ Board of Directors. “Her demonstrated leadership and commitment to the community and the financial health of members aligns well with our mission of collaborating with our community to create access to financial opportunities. We’re confident she is the right person to drive our efforts to broaden Express’s reach throughout our community and ultimately lead Express closer to our vision of Economic Justice for All”
Gibson has worked in the credit union industry for 17 years in several senior leadership roles, most recently serving as the SVP of Member Experience at Red Rocks Credit Union where she drove deposit and loan strategies positioning the credit union for sustained growth. “We congratulate Paul Baudin on his pending retirement and thank him for his dedication to the success of Express Credit Union, first as a Board of Director and then as CEO the last 8 years,” Slonsky shared. “His passion for people and community will leave a lasting impact of Express. Paul will be dearly missed.”
