Pay Range

The full pay range is $104,167.00-$156,251.00 annually. Depending on experience and qualifications.

We offer a bilingual differential for employees who can assist our members’ financial needs in a second language. Proficiency is subject to passing a standardized verbal assessment. Currently approved languages are Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Tagalog.

We are seeking a Financial Advisor Program Manager to join our team! This position promotes financial planning services and works with advisors to review and implement financial plans. Works with advisors to ensure that all disclosure documents are properly explained, understood, and signed by the member. Provides direction and leadership to the advisor team to include sales coaching, training, and conducts performance evaluations and counseling for the Financial Advisor Team.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes Financial Planning services and works with advisors to review and implement financial plans.
  • Develops internal and external referral sources through participation in credit union events, community activities, and participation in seminars to member groups. May coordinate and conduct presentations and member seminars as needed.
  • Implements marketing strategies to potential clients through a combination of methods, including mail, phone solicitations, presentations to groups, and public speaking to member groups on the general subject of financial well-being.
  • Continually looks for ways to enhance service delivery and creates promotional and marketing programs to drive growth.
  • Provides direction and leadership to the advisor team to include sales coaching, training, and conducts performance evaluations and counseling for the Financial Advisor Team.
  • Works with advisors to ensure that all disclosure documents are properly explained to, understood, and signed by the member.
  • Manages and oversees the day-to-day operations and employees in the department.
  • Assists team with complex transactions and escalated member service issues.
  • Works with leadership in developing short and long-term goals and plans.
  • Prepares department budget and tracks department expenses.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field of study.
  • 7+ years experience in direct sales and securities industries, with roles showing a progression in responsibilities and complexity of roles or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a lead or supervisory role, leading a team of financial advisors.

Certifications Required: 

  •  Series 7, Series 66 or Series 65 & Series 63, and Insurance License

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Financial Planning concepts and components including insurance, cash flow analysis, college, net worth, mortgage and debt analyses, and other components that are part of basic Financial Planning information gathering and analysis.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations, which govern the financial planning, investment, and insurance industries.
  • Knowledge of the products and services offered by the credit union including the various types of loan and investment options available.
  • Gather and analyzing basic financial services data.
  • Educate the Financial Advisor team and credit union employees on effective sales skills.
  • Interpreting a variety of instructions and technical procedures furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Work with the financial advisors to identify weaknesses in a member’s financial picture and resolve the weakness by recommending changes.
  • Work with the financial advisors on recommendations to the member on which products or services would be beneficial to them for obtaining their goals.

This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance is paid at a 100% by company for the employee coverage. We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA) and Day Care FSA (DCFSA). Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time.

All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
