As the President of Hawkeye Strategies, Miranda Flury lives out her purpose: Helping to turn light bulbs on. She works with credit union boards and executives all over the world to support their governance and strategy needs and, in turn, help their people and communities.

Her vast experience as a professional facilitator, international speaker, and expert educator for credit unions enables her to provide a seamless and engaging experience tailored to each audience. Miranda has supported boards, executives, regulators, credit union peer groups, credit union centrals, credit union service organizations (CUSOs), and credit union advocacy groups. She has spoken at conferences, including the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), the National Credit Union Management Association (NCUMA) in the USA, the Swoboda Research Centre in the United Kingdom, the British Columbia Financial Services Authority Director’s Forum, and the Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA). She offers her clients the knowledge gleaned from specialized expertise, tempered with the wisdom of wide-ranging experience from diverse industries.

Miranda completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph, a master’s level degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and an Executive MBA from the University of Fredericton. She has also earned a designation in Advanced Cooperative Governance. Miranda has held board director roles on cooperative, regulatory, and private boards and is currently a director on one of the largest and most complicated cooperatives in North America, Federated Cooperatives Limited.

In her spare time, Miranda is a mentor with Futurpreneur, where she helps new entrepreneurs successfully start their businesses. She is also a CrossFit enthusiast… but don’t get her started on this topic, she’ll have a hard time stopping!

 

Yassir Jiwan

Yassir is passionate about empowering consumers with financial products and services that enable them to realize their full economic potential. As part of Deloitte Monitor’s open banking practice, Yassir helps clients identify and activate insights from open banking data to deliver enhanced financial services to consumers. Prior to Deloitte, Yassir worked at a multinational credit bureau where he engaged with clients to solution new products & processes to benefit underserved populations leveraging financial transactional data and led open banking readiness initiatives. Before consulting, Yassir was on the “client-side” working in the banking industry, including 10 years leading Retail Deposit solutions and pricing in the Canadian and International markets.

 

Anthony Korshunov
Senior Manager, Banking Innovation and Solutions | Deloitte

With over 10 years of experience, Anthony brings expertise in innovation strategy and design-driven product development. He is passionate about creating client-centric experiences that build human connections and drive business results. Anthony is also a leader within Deloitte Canada’s Open Banking practice, working with cross-functional teams to help clients within the Financial Services industry unlock new propositions and efficiencies.

Anthony also led Deloitte’s collaboration with the World Economic Forum, where he co-authored a report on emerging technologies and systemic risk in the industry. Prior to joining Deloitte, Anthony worked with one of Canada’s largest financial institutions, where he focused on Enterprise Strategy.
