Job Description:

We are seeking an inspiring, strategic-minded Vice President of Operations to lead the operational and member engagement side of our growing organization. Reporting to the CEO and located in our Portland, Oregon, branch, the VP of Operations is a key member of the management team who will lead, motivate, and successfully influence our team by creating an environment that embraces trust, innovation, collaboration, and professionalism. This senior-level leader will be a logistics master who sees where we have holes and takes action to fill them. They will work closely with the CEO and the Board to create a strategy for branch growth that is innovative, fiscally responsible, and meets the needs of our growing nationwide membership.

Responsible for:

  • Managing all branch leads and/or managers
  • Overseeing the Credit Union call center and online services
  • Creating reliable projections, reporting financial performance and tracking overall trends
  • Using the available information to direct operations and align member engagement strategy to support the Credit Union’s overall strategy
  • Staying up-to-date on new developments in operations
  • Ensuring the Credit Union stays in compliance: Acting as BSA compliance officer, handling CTR-SAR and FinCEN business
  • Assisting the CEO with audits and NCUA exams
  • Jumping in and assisting branch staff with member services when needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of executive leadership experience in a progressive financial institution is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field is required.
  • Compliance Certification is a plus
  • Experience leading, developing and managing a team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of problem solving and team leadership
  • Strong knowledge of the credit union industry is preferred
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft software and email
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, on occasion
