Six GoWest Credit Unions Named Among America’s Best Credit Unions to Work For

Six credit unions from the GoWest region have earned national recognition as recipients of American Banker’s 2026 Best Credit Unions to Work For award, a distinction that celebrates organizations with exceptional workplace cultures and strong employee engagement.

The six GoWest credit unions recognized this year are:

Presented annually by American Banker and Best Companies Group, the award honors credit unions that excel in creating positive workplace environments where employees can thrive professionally and personally. Honorees are selected through a comprehensive evaluation process that includes direct employee feedback as well as an assessment of workplace programs, benefits, and organizational practices.

Employee surveys measure satisfaction across key areas including leadership, communication, culture, and overall engagement. Credit unions are also evaluated on the benefits and programs they offer employees, such as wellness resources, recognition initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and other offerings that support employee wellbeing.

The recognition highlights the commitment of these credit unions to investing in their people and fostering workplace cultures that empower employees to serve members and communities with purpose.

For WECU, one of this year’s honorees, the award reflects the organization’s ongoing focus on employee experience and engagement.
