Credit Unions Meet with Legislative Candidates

Wyoming’s credit union representatives had the opportunity to meet with and support two legislative candidates this week. Jim Yates, First Education FCU; Mary Salas, Blue FCU; Matt Ballou, WyHy FCU; and Bryan Thomas, Meridian Trust FCU, were joined by Bobbie Frank, VP Legislative Affairs, Wyoming, and visited with Erin Edwards, candidate for House District 41.
Edwards is a local volunteer firefighter and EMT and works for the Wyoming Department of Administration and Information in risk management. She is running against Gary Brown. House District 41 includes the downtown and avenues area of Cheyenne.
Brandon Smith, Meriden Trust FCU and George Sellitto, WyHy FCU joined Frank in meeting Lauren Schoenfeld candidate for Senate District 5. Senate District 5 is currently held by Lynn Hutchings who is retiring from the legislature. Schoenfeld is a Wyoming native originally from Farson. She works in the economic development and workforce development field. Senate District 5 encompasses northwest of I-25 in Laramie County to the southern Fox Farm/College Drive area.
Both candidates were presented with campaign support from the Wyoming Credit Union Political Action Committee.
