Meet Liv and Bella: This Year’s CU4Kids Champion Children

Every year at MAXX, CU4Kids Benefit Auction reminds us why credit unions rally together in support of the 11 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in the GoWest region. Behind every sponsorship, donation, and raised paddle are children and families whose lives have been forever changed by the care they received.

This year, attendees will have the opportunity to meet Liv and Bella, the 2026 Champion Children, and hear their family’s remarkable story during the Moonlight & Miracles CU4Kids Benefit Auction on Thursday, Oct. 8 in Denver.

For Liv, what began as a headache quickly became a medical emergency. After tests revealed a severe infection had spread to her brain and entered her bloodstream, she was rushed to Children’s Hospital Colorado. There, a team of specialists moved quickly to develop a treatment plan. Three surgeries in three days ultimately saved her life.

Liv’s younger sister, Bella, has faced her own health challenges. At just six months old, she began experiencing frequent and severe nosebleeds. After years of searching for answers, Bella was referred to Children’s Hospital Colorado, where doctors diagnosed a bleeding disorder. Today, she continues to receive treatment and support from a dedicated care team. For every appointment and blood draw, Child Life specialists help Bella navigate her procedures through emotional support, therapeutic play, and encouragement.

Together, Liv and Bella’s stories reflect the life-changing impact of Children’s Miracle Network hospitals and the importance of ensuring families have access to expert care when they need it most. Thanks to the compassion, expertise, and resources available at Children’s Hospital Colorado, both sisters are now thriving.

At MAXX, their parents will share more about their family’s journey and the role Children’s Hospital Colorado played during some of their most difficult moments. Their story is a powerful reminder of why the credit union community comes together each year in support of CU4Kids.

We are honored to welcome Liv, Bella, and their family to MAXX 2026 and look forward to celebrating the hope, healing, and miracles made possible through the generosity of credit unions across the GoWest region.
