Credit Unions Support Treasurer Meier

Dave Krause, President and CEO of UniWyo FCU, presented State Treasurer Curt Meier with a campaign check to help support Treasurer Meier’s campaign for re-election.
Meier has been successful as State Treasurer in growing Wyoming’s sovereign wealth fund. The posted record-high investment earnings of $1.86 billion for Wyoming in the 2025 fiscal year. This success has helped to keep the tax burden low on Wyomingites.
Meier was the featured speaker at the 2025 Credit Union Wyoming Day at the Capitol and was a proponent of allowing credit unions to hold public deposits.
Meier was first elected as State Treasurer in 2019. Prior to that, he served in the state legislature for 24 years.
He is also a successful businessman, operating a farm and ranch in his hometown of La Grange, and formerly owned and operated an irrigation business.
Meier will face Scott Smith of Lingle in the primary. Smith is a Freedom Caucus aligned House member who has served on the House Appropriations Committee in the past year. He is a small business administrator.
