Wyoming session convenes Monday

The 2026 session will kick off on Monday, February 9.  The session will convene at 10 a.m. with a joint session of the House and Senate where the Governor will provide his State of the State.  It is anticipated that the Governor will have some stern words and pointed messages in his delivery considering the extreme budget cuts made to his proposed budget by the Joint Appropriations Committee.

The Governor’s address can be watched on the Wyoming PBS television and YouTube channels.  Following the Governor, the State of the Judiciary will be presented by Wyoming Supreme Court Chief Justice Lynne J. Boomgaarden.

The two chambers will then conduct their own opening ceremonies and begin introducing bills at 2 p.m.  The deadline for bills to be introduced in House of Origin is Friday, February 13.
