InRoads Credit Union Deepens Community Impact with $175,000 in 2025 Giving

On the heels of awarding $25,000 in grants to small businesses in 2025, InRoads Credit Union, in partnership with its members and employees, completed the year by contributing $175,778 to more than 50 local charitable organizations and schools in communities across Columbia, Washington, and Multnomah counties. These efforts took place as the credit union worked to establish the new InRoads Credit Union Foundation, expanding its long-standing commitment to community impact.
“This past year was transformative, from the dollars we were able to reinvest in our communities to the new opportunities we created around financial wellness, including the launch of the InRoads Credit Union Foundation,” said Nathan Cox, President and CEO of InRoads Credit Union. “As a local credit union that lives, works and grows alongside our members, we see firsthand how access to financial knowledge and resources can make a lasting difference.”
Launched in 2025, the InRoads Credit Union Foundation builds on the credit union’s legacy of community support. Beginning in 2026, the foundation will award grants starting at $1,000 to nonprofit organizations serving Clatsop, Columbia, Cowlitz, Multnomah and Washington counties and is currently accepting applications.
A significant portion of InRoads’ community investment came through its Team Up for Schools program, which features high school-themed debit cards. InRoads contributes five cents from every debit card transaction made with a participating card to the corresponding school, generating $121,022 to support local schools in 2025.
Beyond financial contributions, InRoads employees donated their time throughout the year to support local nonprofits, students, seniors and community members. From providing financial literacy education to volunteering with partner organizations, employees collectively contributed more than 420 volunteer hours in 2025.
