Arizona Credit Unions Attend Important Legislative Forecast Luncheon
Posted by Brooke Parent on January 12, 2026
Arizona Credit Union leaders gathered with other business leaders on Friday, Jan. 9, for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce Annual Legislative Forecast Luncheon. This luncheon brings together business leaders, members of the Arizona congressional delegation, state legislators, mayors, council members, county supervisors, and government affairs representatives to gain insight into the upcoming 2026 legislative session.
Governor Hobbs joined Chamber CEO Danny Seiden for a fireside chat to discuss the upcoming session. While she wasn’t able to give too much insight ahead of her State of the State address on January 12th, they were able to have a productive conversation regarding the current state of Arizona. Governor Hobbs encouraged the room that, as they work together, they can achieve great things for Arizona and highlighted a few of the wins over the last three legislative sessions. She remains hopeful of achieving affordable housing and securing a deal on the Colorado River.
The Senate President, Warren Peterson, House Speaker, Steve Monetenegro, Senate Minority Leader, Priya Sundareshan, and House Minority Leader Oscar De Los Santos, spoke on a panel regarding upcoming legislative issues. While there was not much consensus between the Republicans and Democrats, they are in lock step to solve the Colorado River Issue.
Arizona Credit Unions were a proud sponsor of the event.
