Fibre Federal Credit Union and TLC Make the Season Bright for Foster Children

From November through December 2025, Fibre Federal Credit Union and TLC hosted Christmas Tag programs in their financial services centers to collect donations of gifts and cash for foster children in Columbia, Clatsop, Tillamook, and Lincoln Counties in Oregon.
In Cowlitz County, Washington, Fibre Federal committed to fulfilling the wish lists of 116 children in foster care. The credit union partnered with the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) to create Christmas tag wish lists for each child, and the tags and donation barrels were placed in Fibre Federal’s financial services centers for shoppers to help donate. Once tags were returned from community shoppers, credit union volunteers used donated funds to complete every remaining tag with needed items. After all items were packed up and sorted, DCYF collected and distributed the personalized gifts just in time for the holidays.

“We’re grateful to continue partnering with DCYF to support local foster children,” said Crystal Garrison, Marketing & Community Development Manager for Fibre Federal Credit Union. “Our Christmas Tag program has supported foster youth in Cowlitz County since 2001, and it’s inspiring to see how our community responds each year. Donors and volunteers work together to help ensure kids feel seen, supported, and celebrated.”
