Before We Close the Books on 2025 — Make Sure Your Credit Union’s Advocacy Impact Counts

As the year winds down, accuracy matters. Across the credit union movement, we’re working to ensure every advocacy effort is captured in our year-end reporting. This is your chance to make sure your credit union’s impact is fully reflected.

One Key Piece Often Missed

Did you attend a candidate fundraiser in 2025 and make a personal contribution? That matters—and it’s often overlooked in year-end reporting.

Your participation helps demonstrate your credit union’s commitment to advocacy. Here’s what counts:

  • Attending a fundraiser
  • Personally contributing $50, $100, $200, or another amount
  • Making the contribution directly to a candidate (not through a PAC)

Why Report This?

We aggregate this information by credit union to show the full scope of advocacy activity. It doesn’t replace PAC reporting or compliance requirements—it simply ensures your efforts are recognized.

Take One Minute to Report – Complete the Self-Reporting Form Here

The self-reporting form asks for just three things:

  • The event you attended
  • The candidate you supported
  • The amount you contributed

Why It Matters

Political engagement happens through multiple channels:

  • PAC participation through America’s Credit Unions PAC (ACU PAC) and your State PAC
  • Individual contributions to candidates, made in compliance with election laws

Together, these efforts:

  • Show the depth of engagement within your credit union
  • Strengthening our credibility with elected officials
  • Provide a clearer picture of advocacy across the movement

Our year-end reporting captures that full picture—transparently, legally, and responsibly.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Thank you for your leadership and commitment to advocacy. Every form of engagement—PAC participation, grassroots activity, and direct candidate support—helps ensure credit unions have a strong, credible voice.

We wish you a safe and restful holiday season and look forward to entering 2026, a major election year, prepared and united.

Let’s make sure your credit union’s full advocacy impact is counted.
