Rivermark Community Credit Union Invests $150,000 in Sunshine Division Thanksgiving Meal Delivery

Rivermark Community Credit Union has made a three-year, $150,000 investment with longtime partner Sunshine Division, supporting their annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery. Launched in 2024, the program delivers Thanksgiving food boxes to more than 2,700 families in need across the Portland metro.

Sunshine Division, an organization that provides immediate food and clothing relief to Portland-area families and individuals in need, will use the Rivermark donation to significantly expand the program’s reach, increase availability of culturally specific foods, and elevate food quality. The effort helps build community connections, create holiday traditions, and ensure that households facing food insecurity can still gather, celebrate, and share a meal with dignity.

“For decades, Rivermark and Sunshine Division have partnered to serve our community, and we deeply value this enduring relationship,” said Rivermark Chief Operating Officer Keli Meyers. “It’s a partnership of shared values and lasting impact that makes a genuine difference in the lives of our neighbors who need assistance the most.”

“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Rivermark to strengthen our Thanksgiving Meal Delivery,” said Sunshine Division Director of Development Dana Kinney. “This commitment will ensure that thousands of families have food on the holiday table, especially those who have experienced recent SNAP cuts or transportation challenges.”

This partnership is part of Rivermark’s ongoing commitment to uplift local communities. Beyond financial support, the credit union aims to elevate the voices and efforts of area nonprofits so more people can connect with vital resources. In 2026, they will partner with NBC-affiliate KGW and their new “Local Lift” segment to showcase organizations like Sunshine Division that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.
