Chad Burchard Joins Numerica Credit Union as Chief Lending Officer

Numerica Credit Union, headquartered in Washington’s Spokane Valley, welcomed Chad Burchard as its new Chief Lending Officer, bringing more than 30 years of financial industry experience to the organization.

In this executive role, Burchard will oversee Numerica’s business and mortgage lending strategies, as well as cash management, credit administration, special assets, collections, and cannabis banking. He will play a critical role in shaping lending policies, ensuring sound credit practices, and driving innovation that supports Numerica’s mission to enhance lives, fulfill dreams, and build communities.

Burchard most recently served as Director of Commercial Production at First Interstate Bank (FIB). He previously held other key leadership roles, including Market President at FIB and Chief Banking Officer at Inland Northwest Bank. His career has been defined by driving strategic initiatives, implementing innovative lending technology, and cultivating credit cultures rooted in integrity and growth.

“Chad’s deep expertise and proven leadership make him an outstanding addition to Numerica’s executive team,” said Carla Cicero, Numerica President and CEO. “His ability to combine vision with execution will strengthen our business and mortgage lending strategies, expand innovative solutions, and reinforce a credit culture that positions Numerica for sustained growth. Chad’s commitment to integrity and community mirrors our own values, ensuring we continue serving members with our core purpose of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities at the center.”

In addition to his professional background, Burchard is deeply involved in the Spokane community. He has served for over a decade on the Mead School District 354 Board of Directors, including four years as Board President and Vice President. Burchard also founded the Boys & Girls Club of Spokane County, where he served as a board member for 15 years.

Burchard steps into the position held by Greg Hansen, who has announced his upcoming retirement. Hansen spent the last 15 years shaping Numerica’s lending and credit programs, and since joining Numerica in 2010, has driven significant growth in business services, including $1.4 billion in loan growth and $675 million in deposit growth for business-specific products. He also played a pivotal role in expanding Numerica’s commercial loan, deposit, and cash management product offerings, including launching Numerica’s cannabis banking program, the first of its kind in Washington State.
