Oregon Credit Unions Sponsor Eastern Oregon Economic Summit

GoWest Credit Union Association was a title sponsor of the Eastern Oregon Economic Summit, which brought hundreds to Pendleton, Oregon, to spark bold conversations, build regional connections, and highlight the economic potential of Eastern Oregon. This two-day summit brings together industry experts, elected officials, entrepreneurs, and economic development professionals to explore key issues impacting our region — from housing and workforce to infrastructure, tourism, natural resources, and beyond.

The Eastern Oregon Economic Summit is an annual event organized by the Eastern Oregon Women’s Coalition. It aims to bring together private and public sector leaders from across the state interested in exploring economic opportunities and potential in Eastern Oregon. The summit features various activities, including industry tours, guest speakers, and discussion panels that focus on different regional economic aspects.

Representative Cliff Bentz (OR-2)

Congressman Cliff Bentz, Secretary of State Tobias Read, and State Treasurer Elizabeth Steiner all presented to the Summit on their vision of Eastern Oregon.  Several legislators, including the Speaker of the House, also attended.

Along with GoWest staff, credit union leaders Jill Parker of Old West FCU and Traci McGalthery, and Jessica Crudup of STCU participated in the meeting.
