iQ Credit Union Expands Campus Branch Program with Two New High School Locations

iQ Credit Union is growing its award-winning campus branch program with two new Washington high school locations at Prairie High School in the Battle Ground School District and Woodland High School in the Woodland School District, opening for the 2025/2026 school year. This expansion brings iQ’s total number of student-run campus branches to eight, further advancing the credit union’s mission to empower the next generation with real-world financial skills.

For over 25 years, iQ’s campus branches in Evergreen and Vancouver Public Schools have provided local students with paid internship opportunities, hands-on financial training, and a unique window into careers in banking. With the new branches, that opportunity now extends to students in two additional districts, giving even more teens the chance to gain confidence and financial know-how that lasts a lifetime.

“Our campus branches are more than a place to cash a check or open an account,” said Ali Migaki, Chief Experience Officer at iQ Credit Union. “They’re learning labs where students build confidence, job skills, and a lifelong understanding of how to manage their money. We’re so excited to expand this program to new school districts and reach even more students.”

Students who work at campus branches receive professional training, and many go on to become paid interns and long-term iQ employees. The program also complements other youth initiatives at iQ, including $26,000 in scholarships, educator grants, and the Read With Me program, which reached nearly 6,000 students last year.

In 2024, iQ Credit Union made a measurable impact in financial education across the region:

• Hosted 103 financial wellness presentations and workshops
• Held 19 reality fairs simulating real-world budgeting decisions
• Reached 3,480 youth with financial education experiences in schools

This program is one more way iQ is helping members of all ages build a solid foundation for financial wellness — with local support, guidance, and plenty of plaid.
