InRoads Credit Union Awards More Than $120,000 to Oregon High Schools

InRoads Credit Union awarded $121,022 to Columbia County, Ore., high schools for the 2024-2025 school year through the Team Up for Schools program. The program, now in its eighth year, empowers community members to support local schools simply by using a designated debit card. Supporters of St. Helens, Scappoose, and Rainier High Schools can choose a school-branded debit card, and with each purchase, InRoads donates five cents to that school.

“Helping students succeed goes beyond the classroom, and this program gives our members a simple, everyday way to support various school necessities, like educational programs, technology, and other
needs,” said Nathan Cox, President and CEO, InRoads Credit Union. “We’re proud to invest in the future of our communities and help schools access the resources they need.”

Since its launch, the program has generated a total of $656,373 for schools in the Columbia County area. In addition to financial contributions, InRoads collaborates with local schools to offer financial education and resources that promote long-term financial wellness.

Anyone with an InRoads checking account who lives, works, volunteers, worships or attends school in Columbia, Clatsop, Cowlitz, Multnomah, or Washington Counties can enroll in the program at no extra cost. Following the recent opening of its Hillsboro branch, InRoads is also exploring opportunities to expand support into Washington County high schools.
