Grassroots and Political Engagement Committee Outlines Goals

As we continue to work in 2025 to move our Advocacy engagement forward, the 2025 Grassroots and Political Engagement Committee met in Spokane to talk about the important tools for credit unions as everyone sharpens their efforts before the end of the year.

The Committee is Chaired by Sean McEwen of Solarity Credit Union and Tina Wickes of Columbine Federal Credit Union who led the discussion.  We walked through our new Advocacy Toolbox and did a deep dive into our state and federal political action committees.  We talked about best practices in credit unions and shared stories on our “call to action” process.  For example, a high alert call to action came out in Washington State on a Friday night the weekend of Easter Weekend and credit unions talked about how their shops dealt with that call to action and how we can improve engagement in the future.

Look for more information coming on our updated Advocacy Coordinator role, work to direct Key Contacts in 2025 and how to use our training videos in your credit unions!
