Insight and Impact: Join GoWest’s CDFI Roundtable on May 19

The second GoWest CDFI Roundtable of 2025 will be held on Monday, May 19 from 2-3:30 p.m. PT / 3-4:30 p.m. MT. This is an opportunity to hear from industry experts and connect with professionals from other CDFIs within the GoWest region.

Credit unions will have the chance to showcase the impactful ways they’re serving their communities and join in on insightful conversations. The GoWest team will provide updates on recent changes to the CDFI program and highlight the resources and support available to assist your credit union on its CDFI journey.

This quarter’s special guests include:

Bri Rose and Mark Pinksy from CDFI Friendly America
CDFI Friendly America works to bridge the gap between CDFIs and the communities that need their services by helping to solve problems that have frustrated CDFIs and communities for decades. During the roundtable, they will discuss the current CDFI landscape and how CDFIs are responding.

Scott Butterfield and Alison Carr from Your CU Partner
Your CU Partner collaborates with credit unions to maximize impact for their organization, their members, and the communities they serve. They have expertise in helping Low Income and CDFI-certified credit unions create and establish best practice community programs as well as have experience with CDFI grant writing, certification, and management. Roundtable discussion topics will include ITINs, tax data, impact work by credit unions, and future funding.

“GoWest’s CDFI Roundtables are a vital space for learning, connecting, and driving impact,” said Nayab Abbasi, Strategic Initiatives Manager at the GoWest Foundation. “They give members a chance to share knowledge and tap into valuable resources while staying ahead of key trends in the industry.”
