Interim Topics Up in Air in Wyoming
Posted by Bobbie Frank on April 8, 2025

Today the Management Council, made up of the leadership of both Houses plus additional at-large representatives, one each from the Senate and House, met and kicked off the meeting with action to reduce all standing committee meeting days from the typical six days down to four with the caveat that Committee’s could request additional days if necessary.
The Council also dispensed with the typical Committee chair presentation of the interim priorities they submitted and council approval. They provided Committee Chairs with authority to decide what topics they will be able to address in the four days allotted. With some committees scheduled to meet within a matter of weeks, Chairs will be scrambling to meet and narrow down their topics.
This move was in part due to the number of interim committee bills in the past few years that died after months of work. As soon as the final list of interim study topics is posted GoWest will provide a run down of those of interest to credit unions.
