Governor Signs Wyoming Financial Literacy Proclamation

Representatives of the Financial Literacy working group joined Alisha David, Executive Director of Funding the Future a national wide organization that promotes the importance of smart financial decisions, through a multimedia presentation including music.
The Governor spoke to his commitment to financial literacy education in the state and then signed the proclamation declaring April Financial Awareness Month.
Representing credit unions at the signing included Jim Yates, First Education FCU, Matt Ballou, WyHy FCU, Michele Bolkovatz, Blue FCU, Bryan Thomas, Meridian Trust FCU and Bobbie Frank, GoWest Credit Union Association.
Members from the Financial working group included Michele DeHoff, Jonah Bank, Jill Thompson, Retired Financial literacy educator, and Adam Keiser, Career and Technical Education Laramie County School district number one. Representatives of Platte Valley Bank and Jonah were on hand to celebrate the signing of the proclamation.
