Networking at the Governor’s Business Forum

Credit unions were well represented this week in Laramie at the Governor’s Business Forum hosted by the Wyoming Business Alliance. The conference kicked off on Tuesday afternoon with a partners in prosperity event where business representatives were able to connect with state legislators, Governor’s policy staff and locally elected officials, followed by a networking social at the University of Wyoming Business College.
Dave Krause, President & CEO of UniWyo FCU and Bobbie Frank, GoWest VP Legislative Affairs for Wyoming participated in the forum visiting with county commissioners, the Governor’s policy staff and state legislators.
Tyler Valentine, President & CEO of StagePoint FCU and Frank attended the conference Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday was a full day of sessions covering business-oriented issues, including housing needs across the state, energy issues and demands, and the shifting media landscape followed by another networking social.
The conference wrapped up Thursday with a legislative panel including President of the Senate Ogden Driskill, Representative John Bear of Gillette and former Freedom Caucus Chair and Albany County Democrat, Representative Sherwood. Discussion included priorities that are on the horizon for the 2025 legislative session, followed by remarks from Governor Mark Gordon.
